For the last 25 years, JoAnne has mobilized the community to make our world a better place – especially for kids and youth.
A professional fundraiser by trade, her passion for philanthropy has resulted in exceeding goals for organizations such as Hospice Toronto, Delisle Youth Services, Project Work, and Hospice Muskoka.
While at Delisle, JoAnne launched Young Philanthropists, an initiative that encouraged and motivated youth to become leaders by giving back to their communities. Today she is raising awareness of mental health poverty, with an aim to reducing the staggering barriers faced by people with mental illness.
Through all her activities, JoAnne has become adept at addressing critical community needs through teamwork and collaboration. She is a long-time Rotarian, past-president of the Rotary Club of Toronto Sunrise, and an enthusiastic volunteer with Out of the Cold. She is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
JoAnne admits to a soft spot for “unique and creative projects that make the heart happy.”
